 AWARDING CRITERIA AND RECOMMENDED VALUES
Selection criterias
The “EUROPEAN FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS AWARD”wants to promote a special message, a tribute to all kind of supporters (spontaneous groups and organised supporters whether through an association or a club), who are able to show a degree of conviviality through their behaviour on the football grounds. These could be spontaneous gestures and/or preconceived attitudes before, during or after a competition. These competitions do not have to be professional ones, as they could be at a national and/or a European level, a tournament of an international competition anywhere in Europe.
The “EUROPEAN FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS AWARD” will reward an exemplary initiative, a symbolic gesture promoting any of the following values :
- Mutual respect without a reference to either race or culture,
- Non violent behaviour in and around football grounds,
- A total respect of moral and physical integrity of all partners / players,
- A festive and convivial dimension in football,
- A feeling of having achieved something during exchanges,
- An encouragement towards a good behaviour all round,
- A mutual support and a respect of the fair-play,
- A certain degree of solidarity and a desire to share with others,
- A mutual respect even after loosing a match,
- An inherent degree of conviviality before, during and after a competition,
- A degree of cleanliness in and around football stadiums,

The proposed initiative or considered projects may originate either from individual fans, an association of fans, a federation, a club or any other institution or person having worked toward it.
On that day, the laureate will receive the trophy as well as a cheque for the value of 3,000 Euros, which is to say half of the prize. The other 3,000 Euros shall be sent to him/her during the course of the year following his/her designation by the jury, after having presented a project, completed or in progress, in accordance with the spirit of the competition.
The organisers of the “EUROPEAN FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS AWARD” will keep in mind the atmosphere of friendliness around any of the football stadiums and especially so between members of different teams.
The organisers will also bear in mind all those genuine and colourful moments when everything had been well prepared, rehearsed and presented in a genuine show of team workmanship.
And finally, the organisers will take into consideration all that is being done in order to keep the younger supporters well away from potential trouble and therefore able to enjoy the match at their own level.
